2nd Grade Collaborative Monsters

In this lesson, students explored mark-making by using a variety of found tools to create stamped patterns with paint. They then collaboratively examined a peer’s artwork from a previous class to identify the tools used, encouraging visual analysis and critical thinking. Afterward, each student cut and assembled a monster collage using their stamped paper, incorporating basic shapes to create eyes and mouths. The lesson emphasized creative exploration, problem-solving, and collaborative peer engagement.
